The filling section needs to match the product. This is one of the first things I explain to customers.
Two nozzles do not mean that every product should use the same dosing method. A free-flowing granule, fine powder, liquid, and thick paste behave very differently inside a filling system.
The empty premade pouches are placed into the pouch magazine. The automatic feeder separates and transfers them into the machine.
This removes one repetitive manual task. Instead of an operator picking up every pouch and placing it by hand, the machine performs the feeding action in a controlled sequence.
However, flexible pouches are not all the same.
A thick pouch may be easy to separate. A very thin pouch may stick to the next pouch. A pouch with a zipper or special surface treatment may behave differently again.
That is why I prefer to test the actual pouch before confirming the final machine configuration.
Once the pouch reaches the correct station, the machine opens it.
This step is easy to underestimate. The pouch needs to stay in the right position and provide enough opening space for the filling nozzles.
If the opening is poor, product may hit the inside wall of the pouch or reach the sealing area. This is particularly important with powders and liquids.

After filling, the pouch moves to the sealing station.
The machine applies controlled heat and pressure to close the pouch. The actual sealing result depends on the pouch film structure, temperature, pressure, dwell time, and cleanliness of the sealing area.
This is another reason I test real pouches. A packaging film that looks almost identical to another film may have a different sealing temperature range.
After sealing, the finished pouch leaves the machine and can be transferred to a conveyor, inspection station, Checkweigher, carton packing machine, or other downstream equipment.

Servo control is useful because pouch packaging is heavily dependent on timing and position. The pouch must arrive at the correct station, open at the correct moment, receive the filling, and move to sealing without disturbing the previous step.
When these movements are properly coordinated, the machine can operate more smoothly.

For example, two bags of nuts may look identical from the outside, but the nuts inside may have very different shapes and densities. That can change how the product flows into the pouch.

For these products, viscosity is often the key point. I need the nozzle to fill the right amount and stop cleanly without leaving excessive product around the pouch opening.

Again, the actual product matters. A small uniform granule behaves very differently from a large irregular pet treat.
