Features

These premade pouch packaging machines can package various pouch styles in a stable way, including three-side seal, four-side seal, stand-up pouches, and special-shaped pouches.

Different filling systems can be selected depending on the product, so the same platform can be used for powders, granules, liquids, and viscous materials without changing the basic structure of the packaging machine.

All main parts in contact with the product are made of 304 stainless steel, together with anodized aluminum components and food-grade plastics, meeting GMP requirements for food and pharmaceutical applications.

The pouch packaging machine is equipped with PLC control to coordinate the motions of pouch pick-up, opening, filling, and sealing, so each step runs in sync and the whole process stays smooth and stable during continuous production.

A pouch opening detection function is included, so filling only takes place when the pouch is correctly opened, reducing product waste. Sealing is also blocked when no product is filled, which helps avoid unnecessary use of packaging material.

The two-nozzle configuration allows two pouches to be processed in each cycle, bringing an efficiency increase of more than 80% compared with single-nozzle equipment. The combined theoretical output can reach up to 90 pouches per minute.

According to production needs, the pouch packaging machine can be equipped with additional systems such as coding machines, Checkweighers, cartoners, case packers, labeling machines, and palletizers, so the line can be expanded into a more automated setup, with less manual handling.

Premade Pouch Packaging Machine, 2-Nozzle Filling-240DG

When I help a customer choose a premade pouch packaging machine, I do not look at the machine model first. I start with the product, pouch, filling weight, and expected output. These four points usually tell me much more than a simple request such as “I need an automatic pouch packing machine.”

For manufacturers looking for a compact and flexible solution, our Premade Pouch Packaging Machine, 2-Nozzle Filling-240DG is designed around this exact idea. It takes finished premade pouches and automatically carries out pouch feeding, pouch opening, product filling, optional vacuum or nitrogen flushing, heat sealing, coding, and finished pouch discharge.

The two-nozzle filling configuration is especially useful when a customer wants better filling productivity without moving immediately to a much larger packaging system. Depending on the product and filling method, the two nozzles can work within the same filling cycle, helping us build an efficient automatic premade pouch filling line.

At Shanghai Huacheng Packing Machinery Company, or Huapack, we have focused on pouch packaging machinery since 2015. Our operation in Songjiang District, Shanghai combines research and development, manufacturing, sales, and technical service. We design pouch packaging solutions for food, dairy, health nutrition, medical nutrition, pharmaceuticals, personal care, agrochemicals, pet food, and other industries.

What I like about this type of machine is its flexibility. The pouch is already printed and formed before it enters the machine, so the packaging line can focus on handling, filling, sealing, and quality rather than making the bag from roll film.

1. Why I Use a Premade Pouch Machine for Flexible Packaging

A premade pouch packaging machine is different from a form-fill-seal machine. With form-fill-seal equipment, the machine starts with a roll of flexible film and forms the pouch during production. With our 240DG, the pouch is already made.

This difference is important for brands that use different pouch designs or several SKUs.

For example, a food company may have one printed pouch for almonds, another for mixed nuts, and another for seasoning. The pouches can be produced separately and then supplied to the packaging machine for automated filling and sealing.

I normally explain the complete process in a simple sequence:

  1. The operator loads finished premade pouches into the pouch magazine.

  2. The automatic pouch feeder picks an individual pouch.

  3. The pouch is transferred into the correct working position.

  4. The machine opens the pouch.

  5. The product is filled through the two filling nozzles.

  6. Vacuum or nitrogen flushing can be performed when required.

  7. The pouch moves to the heat-sealing station.

  8. The pouch mouth is sealed with controlled heat and pressure.

  9. A coding system can print production information when required.

  10. The finished pouch is discharged to the next process.

There is no complicated story here. The machine simply takes over the repeated work that would otherwise require several operators.

But simple does not mean easy to engineer.

Flexible pouches can bend, stick together, wrinkle, or change shape depending on the material and pouch construction. A powder can create dust. A liquid can drip. A thick paste can string from the nozzle. These small details can affect the whole production line.

That is why I always recommend testing the actual pouch and product before confirming the final configuration.

2. How the 2-Nozzle Filling-240DG Works

The working process is built around several stations. Each station has one job, and the machine coordinates them through its control system and servo mechanisms.

Automatic pouch feeding

Production starts with the finished pouches in the pouch magazine.

The automatic feeder separates and transfers the pouches into the machine. This is much more consistent than asking an operator to pick up and position every pouch manually throughout an entire shift.

However, pouch feeding is not simply a matter of adding a suction cup. Pouch thickness, surface friction, stiffness, zipper design, pouch shape, and even the printing surface can influence how easily the pouches separate.

When I receive samples, I pay attention to this point because a pouch that works perfectly by hand may behave differently when hundreds or thousands of pieces are fed automatically.

Pouch opening

After the pouch reaches its station, the machine opens it before filling.

The pouch needs to remain stable during this step. The opening also needs to be large enough for the filling nozzle to enter correctly.

This becomes particularly important when working with flexible bags. If the pouch mouth is not opened properly, the product may touch the pouch wall or sealing area. That can create problems later.

Two-nozzle filling

The 240DG is configured with two filling nozzles.

For a suitable product, the two-nozzle arrangement allows the machine to fill two pouches within the filling stage. This can improve productivity compared with a single-nozzle configuration.

But I always make one clarification: two nozzles do not automatically mean exactly twice the total machine output.

The complete production cycle includes pouch feeding, opening, filling, sealing, and discharge. The actual output is affected by product behavior, pouch size, filling weight, dosing method, and sealing time.

For granular products, we may consider a weighing system. For powders, an auger-based dosing system may be more suitable. Liquids can require pump filling, while thick pastes may need a different pump and nozzle arrangement.

Optional vacuum or nitrogen flushing

Some customers need more than simple filling and sealing.

For suitable applications, we can configure vacuum or nitrogen flushing. The purpose and setting depend on the product, pouch material, headspace, storage conditions, and customer requirements.

I do not recommend adding these functions just because they are available. If the product does not need them, there may be little reason to make the machine more complicated.

Heat sealing

After filling, the pouch moves to the sealing station.

The sealing jaws apply heat and pressure to close the pouch. The final result depends on several factors, including the pouch film structure, temperature, pressure, sealing time, and cleanliness of the pouch mouth.

A good seal is not simply “hot enough.” Too little heat can create a weak seal, while excessive heat can damage some flexible packaging materials.

Finished pouch discharge

Once sealing is complete, the finished pouch is discharged from the machine.

From here, I can design the machine to work with downstream equipment such as conveyors, Checkweighers, inspection systems, carton packing equipment, or other packaging machinery.

3. Main Features I Focus on in the 240DG

Two filling nozzles

The most obvious feature is the two-nozzle filling arrangement.

It gives manufacturers an efficient way to handle suitable filling applications while keeping the machine layout practical. For companies that have outgrown manual filling but do not need a very large packaging line, this can be a useful middle step.

PLC touchscreen control

We use a PLC-based touchscreen control system so the operator can manage machine functions and production parameters from a central interface.

I prefer simple controls. An operator should be able to understand the machine status without having to read a complicated technical manual every few minutes.

The touchscreen can also make recipe and parameter management more convenient when several products are packed on the same machine.

Servo-driven movement

Several machine movements need accurate timing.

The pouch has to reach the right position before opening. The filling nozzle needs to move at the correct moment. The pouch then needs to travel to the sealing station without disturbing the filling process.

Servo mechanisms help us control these movements with greater precision and repeatability.

Multiple pouch formats

Depending on the final configuration and actual pouch testing, the machine can be adapted for suitable:

  • Stand-up pouches

  • Zipper pouches

  • Spout pouches

  • Aluminum foil flat pouches

  • Other customized premade pouches

The key phrase here is “depending on the final configuration.” I would rather test a real pouch than promise compatibility based only on a picture.

Flexible production for multiple SKUs

Many brands do not produce just one product anymore.

They may have several flavors, different filling weights, different pouch designs, or different product sizes. Premade pouches are useful in this situation because the printed package can be prepared separately.

Changeover requirements still depend on the pouch dimensions and product. But with suitable machine design, multiple SKUs can be handled more conveniently than a system designed for one fixed product only.

Optional coding

Date, batch, expiry, and other production information can be added through an integrated coding system when required.

The correct coding method depends on the pouch surface, printing requirements, line speed, and information that needs to be marked.

4. Matching the Filling Method to the Product

This is where my experience becomes especially important.

A packaging machine should not be selected only by pouch dimensions. The product inside the pouch can be even more important.

Consider two products that both require a 100-gram pouch. One may be dry nuts. The other may be fine nutritional powder. The target weight is the same, but the filling technology is completely different.

Product TypeTypical ExamplesMain IssuePossible Filling Method
GranulesNuts, seeds, seasoningParticle size and densityWeighing or volumetric dosing
PowderNutrition powder, herbal powderDust and flowabilityAuger or suitable powder dosing
LiquidSauce, oil, cleanserViscosity and drippingPump filling
PasteCream, gel, thick sauceViscosity and stringingSuitable pump or piston filling
Small partsScrews, clips, fittingsPiece size and quantityCounting or weighing

Source: Huapack engineering application classification. The listed filling methods are general selection examples; the final dosing system should be confirmed after testing the customer's actual material.

For granular products, I check particle size, shape, bulk density, and flow. A large irregular nut behaves differently from a small round seed.

For powders, I check whether the powder flows freely or tends to form a bridge in the hopper. Dust control can also become important because powder around the pouch mouth can affect sealing.

For liquids, I look at viscosity and foaming. A thin liquid may continue dripping after filling, while a thick sauce may require a stronger pumping system.

For pastes, the filling nozzle and shut-off action become very important. Nobody wants a beautiful pouch with product smeared across the sealing area.

This is why product testing is not an optional extra from my point of view. It is part of choosing the right machine.

5. Where I See the 240DG Being Used

Food and snack packaging

The food industry is one of the most common applications for premade pouch packaging.

Suitable products include nuts, snacks, seasonings, dried food, seeds, sauces, and other granular, powder, liquid, or paste products.

The premade pouch format also gives brands a lot of freedom with printing and package design. The finished printed pouch enters the machine directly, so the artwork is not created during the filling process.

Health nutrition and dietary products

Nutrition powders, selected dietary products, herbal powders, and other suitable health products can be packaged using the appropriate filling system.

For these applications, filling accuracy, product cleanliness, dust control, and pouch sealing are important considerations.

Pharmaceutical and medical nutrition packaging

Selected pharmaceutical and medical nutrition products can also use premade pouches.

However, pharmaceutical packaging should never be treated as an ordinary food project. The required hygiene level, contact materials, cleaning procedures, production environment, validation, and destination-market regulations need to be defined before equipment is finalized.

Personal care and cosmetics

We can design suitable pouch filling solutions for products such as cleansers, creams, gels, lotions, and other personal-care formulations.

Here, the filling material often has a higher viscosity than water. That changes the pump, nozzle, filling speed, and shut-off requirements.

Pet food

Pet treats, dry pet food, powders, and selected semi-moist products can be considered for different pouch formats.

For irregular treats, I pay close attention to product size and feeding behavior. The right filling system must prevent product jams while still meeting the required filling quantity.

Seeds, agrochemicals, and small hardware

Seeds and selected agricultural products can be packaged into premade pouches using a suitable dosing system.

Small hardware components are another interesting application. Screws, clips, fittings, and similar parts can sometimes be counted instead of weighed, depending on the customer's packaging method.

6. How We Engineer and Manufacture the Machine

At Huapack, our work does not stop when a customer sends a machine name.

We first want to understand the production requirement.

  • What product are you filling?

  • What is the target filling weight?

  • What output do you need?

  • What is the pouch size?

  • What is the pouch material?

  • Does the pouch have a zipper or spout?

  • Do you need vacuum or nitrogen flushing?

  • Do you need date and batch coding?

  • How many SKUs will you run?

  • Will the machine connect to other equipment?

Once these points are clear, we can determine the suitable filling system and machine configuration.

During manufacturing, mechanical assembly, electrical installation, control-system integration, and machine debugging all need to work together. A pouch packaging machine is not simply a metal frame with a filling nozzle attached to it.

Every station must work with the next one.

The pouch feeder must deliver the pouch correctly. The opening station must prepare the pouch for filling. The filling system must deliver the required product quantity. The sealing station must create a stable closure. The discharge system must transfer the finished pouch without damaging it.

We also consider the customer's future production plans.

If a company currently has three SKUs but expects to have ten later, I would rather know that before the machine is designed. It may influence pouch handling, changeover arrangements, recipe management, or line integration.

For complete projects, we can integrate the premade pouch packaging machine with weighing, feeding, filling, sealing, coding, inspection, conveying, checkweighing, and downstream packaging systems.

This approach helps us move from “buying a machine” to building a complete pouch packaging operation.

7. Why I Choose Huapack for Premade Pouch Packaging

Shanghai Huacheng Packing Machinery Company was established in 2015. Since then, our work has stayed focused on pouch packaging machinery.

We combine R&D, manufacturing, sales, and technical service within one organization. For me, this matters because packaging projects often involve many small technical decisions.

A customer may ask for a pouch filling machine, but the real requirement could be a complete automated line.

They may need a weighing system before the pouch machine. They may need nitrogen flushing because of the product. They may need a checkweigher after sealing. They may want automatic carton packing later.

If I only sell a standalone machine, I may solve one part of the problem while creating another.

That is why we also provide complete line integration and turnkey packaging solutions.

Our engineers can develop the system around:

  • Product characteristics

  • Pouch format

  • Filling weight

  • Required production capacity

  • Number of SKUs

  • Optional functions

  • Factory layout

  • Downstream equipment

I also believe that a good machine should be practical for the operator.

More buttons do not necessarily mean better equipment. The machine needs to be understandable, adjustable, and maintainable in the real factory environment.

That is the approach we take with the Premade Pouch Packaging Machine, 2-Nozzle Filling-240DG.
